    Govt. Vidarbha Institute of Science & Humanitiesis a lead institute of Vidarbha established in 1923(Then 'The King Edward College') situated at Amravati in a area of 168 acres pertaining education in 22 subjects in arts, humanities and science at a graduation level and in 18 subjects at postgraduate level. The Institute is having separate womens' cell as well as imparts psychological counseling for students on a regular basis.
     The institute boosts central library with 1 lac books with separate reading room for Boys & Girls Except that all departments has independent P.G. library the institute has a separate sports department with gyem.
